Job Title: Construction Lead – Oil & Gas

Job Summary
- A Construction Lead oversees and coordinates all on-site construction activities for our projects across Nigeria.
- The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are delivered safely on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Job Duties
Missions & Tasks:
- Lead and manage all phases of construction activities on EPC projects, including civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works.
- Develop and implement construction execution plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Supervise site personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays or cost overruns.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian Content Development (NCDMB) regulations and local labor laws.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to ensure workmanship meets company and client standards.
- Prepare and present progress reports, site documentation, and project updates to stakeholders.
- Promote a strong safety culture and enforce HSE policies and procedures on site.
Implement and enforce QHSE policy:
- Manage the Plant process defined as part of the ISO 9001 certification and carry out all the actions necessary for its optimization, for the conduct of internal / external audits.
- Respect and enforce the procedures defined in the quality process.
- In liaison with the Quality Department and HSE, ensure the maintenance and development of certifications with the organizations concerned.
- Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and company safety policies.
Qualification & Requirements
Eucation Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
- COREN registration and membership in NSE or relevant professional body.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10years of construction management experience in the EPC industry, preferably in oil & gas projects.
Skills
Functional:
- Knowledge of Nigerian regulatory and environmental standards.
- Experience working with international EPC contractors or joint ventures.
Extra Skills
- Proficient in project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project) and construction software (AutoCAD, Navisworks).
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel and work in remote project locations across Nigeria.
